Pyohex® Medicated Shampoo

Pyohex® Medicated Shampoo. Approved for use with Dogs. Pyohex® Medicated Shampoo is an aid in the treatment of superficial dermatitis associated with infections by Staphylococcus intermedius in dogs.

Dermcare Pyohex® Medicated Shampoo for skin that’s infected or prone to infection - hotspots, scale and pimples

Removes scale, crust and smell.

For skin infected by bacteria

  • For surface pyoderma (eg. Hot Spots), superficial pyoderma (eg. Impetigo) and deep pyoderma

  • As a preventative to recurrences

  • Use prior to surgery

  • Active is 30g/L of Chlorhexidine

  • Antibacterial, good residual activity

  • Lipid sparing

  • pH balanced

  • Use as an adjunct to systemic antibiotics for deep pyoderma

  • Excellent efficacy against Staphylococcus pseudintermedius

  • Helps to lift crust and debris from the hot spot

  • Can be used on the whole dog to reduce overall bacterial load

  • It can be used to reduce the overall bacterial load and clean the pet prior to surgery (eg. 24 hours)

  • Dogs with Demodex have secondary Staph infection and can benefit from Pyohex as part of their treatment
